Events & Meet-ups
Why We Host Events, Hikes, and Meetups at Kids Who Explore
Building Connection Through Adventure
At Kids Who Explore, we believe that nature has a magical way of connecting families — to each other, to their communities, and to the world around them.
That's why we host a wide variety of events — from backpacking getaways and stroller walks, to forest play days, local hikes, and family meetups.
Each adventure is designed to create real moments of connection, joy, and growth. Many friendships have formed right here in this space!!
A Community-First Approach
Every event you attend — whether it's a casual drop-in hike or a multi-day camping trip — directly supports the heart of our community.
Your event fees help:
-
Support our Ambassador Team — our hosts are paid for their time, expertise, and heart.
-
Fuel our Growth — covering everything from admin costs, insurance, websites, planning, and promotion.
-
Expand What We Offer — from free local meetups to bigger guided adventures for families ready for more.
We charge a small fee because running a growing community takes real people, real time, and real love. Your support ensures we can keep offering more — more events, more resources, more ways to get outside together.
By purchasing a ticket or registering to be a member, you are helping the Kids Who Explore mission to get more kids connected to the outdoors.
